Venlo container terminals
Trimodal: road, rail and inland waterways
The Trimodal Container Terminal Venlo (TCT Venlo) facilitates inbound and outbound container flows by truck, train and barge, because the rail terminal is combined with an inland shipping terminal in Venlo’s Maashaven port. Several trains each day, and three inland shipping sailings per week, provide links with the ECT deep sea terminals in Rotterdam. TCT Venlo is also linked to the port of Antwerp by two sailings per week.
Within the ECT European Gateway Services network, Venlo is the premier link on the Dutch–German border.
Second rail terminal
Venlo’s container transshipment capacity will be further enlarged by a second rail terminal at Trade Port North in 2017. Logistics service providers will then be able to offer even further optimized intermodal transport and logistics solutions.
